The Severn Mile is swum on a route from just west of the Welsh Bridge in Shrewsbury, downstream to the Kingsland bridge and then upstream to the Pengwern Boathouse. There is also a downstream only course of 800m which starts at the same point directly to the Pengwern Boathouse.
