What Is Rephyll Beta Caryophyllene?

What is Beta Caryophyllene?

Beta Caryophyllene is a common terpene that can be found in high amounts in black pepper, cloves, rosemary, and hops. Beta Caryophyllene has a spicy woody aroma and also contributes to the distinct flavor and spiciness of black pepper and cinnamon. For years, various cultures believed rosemary and hops had pain management benefits with no specific explanation of why. Research conducted over the years has now led scientists to believe that Beta Caryophyllene may be responsible for these unique Beta Caryophyllene benefits.

Although its pain management benefits are fascinating on their own, the recent rise in popularity of Beta Caryophyllene may be due to recent research surrounding the cognitive Beta Caryophyllene benefits. Recent animal studies discovered that Beta Caryophyllene appeared to promote cerebral blood flow while also acting on inflammation levels. Researchers suggested that these events seemed to positively impact cognitive function.

Rephyll Beta Caryophyllene Powered by Zeal Technology

Rephyll from Aurea Biolabs, the unique Natural Pain Management Formulation, incorporates Beta Caryophyllene (derived from Black Pepper) using cutting-edge science to optimize bioavailability. Beta Caryophyllene helps support joint function while also providing substantial benefits towards balancing inflammation and oxidation levels. Despite its array of benefits, the bioavailability of Beta Caryophyllene is limited because it is quite volatile. However, Rephyll uses Zeal Technology to ensure that the bioactive molecule is protected within a lipid bilayer to help defend against untimely degradation and promote cellular absorption.* The specific carriers used in Rephyll help encapsulate the hydrophobic bioactive ingredient as liposomes inside a phospholipid moiety using Zeal Technology, which promotes its bioavailability and efficacy. The active molecules are delivered at the site of action, achieving targeted delivery and assuring biological activity.*

    A+ for Ocular Health

Posted by RS on 31st May 2023

I started reading some newer studies about using BCP for reversing Macular Edema/Degeneration — knowing the disease was in its way to plaguing my mom. When it got to the point the ophthalmologist said “time to start injections” I said “no thank you… we need to delay.” I immediately started giving my mom 1 cap BID — per the studies I read recommending 30mg BCP BID. (These capsules are 6% BCP aka 60mg BCP per 2 caps, so the dose was perfect.) At her 4 week follow up, I wasn’t expecting any improvement; I was just hoping to see no progression. (Case studies of patients with AMD using 30mg BCP BID were seeing improvement in 3-6 months.) Well, we saw DRASTIC improvement that the specialist said my mom was no longer in need of injections! Of course they can’t support my use of BCP because it’s not what they’re taught — but the proof is in the scans of my mothers eyes! THANK YOU NOOTROPICS! P.S. please get rid of the unnecessary fillers in Rephyll ??

Worked well intermittently for pain relief!

Posted by Sheng-Ming Egan on 20th Nov 2021

I took this after watching the Cultivation Classic 2019 conference lecture called "Nurturing Your Endocannabinoid System" - you can see it hosted on YouTube by Willamette Week. Was very excited to see these pain relief focused terpene isolates come onto market as someone with chronic joint pain from a spine injury a few years ago (I now have an injured and herniated cervical disc that I'm dealing with). Pain occurs mostly when sitting for long periods of time. I also started having migraines following that injury - usually after nights with very little sleep. I took this along with my usual stack including curcumin, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K2, and omega-3. The curcumin is most likely the one that has interactions with it and may have a good synergistic effect. I tried it out when I had to do a very long one-shot car drive (12 hrs), which usually gives me pain, and this seemed to be effective in reducing the pain I was expecting to feel. I continued to take it intermittently for a few weeks and it felt like it had an effect when I was using it as a preventative when I knew I had to be sitting for a while. I started taking it daily, and the obvious pain relief effect became less pronounced, but it did seem to reduce the frequency of my migraines. I believe this works best as needed, every couple days, rather than as a daily supplement, and I would pair it with curcumin. As with any supplement, your mileage may vary, and it's always worthwhile to check in with your doctor if you can. Best of luck to all my fellow spoonies out here!

    Rephyll

I have to say this works well to "fend off" pain. I recommend Palmitoylethanolamide as an accompaniment as they both influence the endocannabinoid system with slightly different targets/effects. I'm getting hours of relief w/ 1 gm of each. 1/2 gm "booster" in the evening if needed. Effective product for symptomatic relief which helps to maintain functional mobility. No side effects noted.
